Chevy: hold my beer.
Also, someone tell David to make up his mind:

The tail lights are phenomenal. The rest is... hm.

Again with the bowtie in the wrong place.
Literally all it needs to make it look half decent. I still like the current look waaaay better, but MOVE THE BOWTIE

I first saw the RS model and was pretty meh with the update, wouldn’t say it’s a improvement (the headlights are a bit much) but it didn’t ruined the looks either. But now that I see the SS, dear lord I feel sorry for the Camaro, what a botched facelift this is. Is even sadder to think that the ZL1 likely has even more grill.
New taillights are really cool tho

That literally looks a thousand times better.

With it on the crash bar it just looks wrong

I’m hoping it looks better in person like Lexus. Something tells me making the entire front area plastic grille and the bow tie in the wrong place won’t change my opinion

So the rumors were right. Straight up Bumblebee From Transformer 15 or 18 I don’t remember
This design might grow on me although I prefer the current gen Zl1. Personally it looks very Accord-ified

As much as I hate it right now, I really hope I’ll end up liking it because Camaro. But it’s looks are killing me. Hopefully it goes like hell.

Except the Accord wears it well.
![]() 04/09/2018 at 10:50 |

Also Dodge Charger-ified
![]() 04/09/2018 at 10:52 |

that can’t be real

Unfortunately, it is.

I concur. Those taillights are sex

I’m sorry, but this happens every fucking time someone updates a brand icon. People hated the C6, then they hated the C7, the S550 Mustang was an Accord, the S550 update was hideous too, Current Charger... same. In a year people will accept it and nobody will care.
People don’t like change, but change is necessary. I’m just so incredibly tired of idiotic backlash anytime anything changes.

What!? Why? The one they had was great looking.

IKR. If I were to get one I would make that change myself right away.
Same story with the Malibu.

All I did was make a joke about it’s ugliness. I’ll be ok with it if it can drive exceptionally well. And change can always be better, change might be necessary but doesn’t mean it’s always good.

Rip

It looks like a Dodge Charger coupe....
![]() 04/09/2018 at 11:16 |

Wouldn’t that be the Challenger? Holy shit, if they do something like this to the Challenger then I’m starting a rebellion.

I have skin in the game since I had a 2010 and 2012 Mustang GT, and the looks of the 2015+ put me off of upgrading.

Vocal minority in effect. I will say tho, the entire front end grill fad can die as soon as it wants.

I just have a fundamental problem with knee jerk reactions to different/bold styling decisions. I will say that I like the non SS car better, but there’s a clear logic that lead to the SS’s styling.

Honestly, the non-Bullitt and Boss cars of the S197s are really beginning to show their age. The S550 just looks so much more crisp IMO. Plus, you’re missing out on all that IRS goodness and an interior that’s not from 2005.

Except that the heritage of the Camaro is this:
![]() 04/09/2018 at 11:42 |

Damn, that looks rough. I can’t tell if it looks worse/better with the body-colored grill or the black grill.

And then chevy went and did this

Original designs are (pretty much) always superior to mid-cycle refreshes.
![]() 04/09/2018 at 12:18 |

I don’t dislike that.

I feel like most people did like the C7 though, and the S550 was ridiculed as looking like an Accord but generally well received. And IIRC the 6th gen Camaro was initially viewed positively.
I’m sure we’ll adjust but til then....eeek.
![]() 04/09/2018 at 12:54 |

Why do they insist on doing this? I’ll never understand.

Eh, the C7 taillights were the end of the world, and people thought it looked too much like the GT-R.
